Bathing

Clean and pretty bathing area situated a 5 minute stroll from the Farsund Resort reception area. Another bathing area, near the cabins and apartments, will be ready by May 2009.  If you prefer long, sandy beaches we recommend the Lista area, 20 minute drive away.

Should the weather conditions not be suitable for outdoor bathing, we suggest a visit to the Sørlandsbadet water park, a mere 10 minutes drive from Farsund Resort. Sørlandsbadet has a sports pool, child friendly pool with wave machine, whirlpool. Spa and gym. Open daily, including Bank Holidays.

Boat hire
At Farsund resort you can hire a boat for one or several days. We offer the Skager 660, 22 ft and 20 HK motor. All boats equipped with echo sound and map planner(Trackfish 660), GPS, AIS and VHF radio.

Our guests’ safety is very important to us. A tracking system has been installed at the service centre so that all our hire boats can be traced at all times.  

Price list:

Per day: NOK 1.100,-

Per week: NOK 4.900,-.

Prices inclusive of diesel and safety vests.

Fishing

Farsund Resort is situated in a beautiful nature area, surrounded by idyllic fjords, islands and islets. The resort is only 15-20 minutes from the open sea. This offers rich and varied fishing and recreational possibilities. A fishing trip is almost always possible to organise, during good weather on the open sea and during choppy weather in the sheltered fjord.  An abundance of fish waiting to be caught; cod, pollack, coalfish, mackerel, flatfish and eel. The weather conditions and time of year will determine what type of fish will bite.

The Fairy Tale trail

This is a 1 kilometre long local trail, offering the walker information along the route of local plant and animal life. The path is a meter wide, well marked and has an easy terrain. Farsund Resort has created an information folder of the Fairy Tale trail, published in Norwegian, English and German. Collect it from the reception or click here.
